     All three are not my original picks; Slide because I usually go with Shitlist; Wargasm or Pretend, We're Dead and often forget how great that whole album was. Rebel Girl, because usually it's the famous Chinese Red Army Ballet vid; but I wanted the energy; that I will always regret I never got to experience, of the live performance and Angie Baby, because when I was looking for my favourite vid of one my favourite defining teenage songs I suddenly discovered this animated version.

I hadn't heard the second one either, but as it happens I listened to Angie Baby recently because I was doing music file conversions to get them to run properly on my phone. I always liked it because it was both very evocative of a lot of girls' tween years while at the same time having the supernatural element to it that suggested that Angie would be just fine.

I knew there had been another song called Slide; probably not the only one of course, but I think I have heard that one before somewhere; was it in a movie, or a TV show maybe? Totally different song of course; because L7's was written by two members of the band, but wherever I heard it it's nice to be reminded.

Do check out The Cambodian Space Project videos; they were incredible and the lead singer has a wonderful voice. She was killed in a hit and run; think in Bangkok, she was born during the era of The Killing Fields and made such beautiful music; their version of Iggy Pop's The Passenger, with a video about the Australian concentration camps for refugees is incredible. Probably going to post a lot more of their songs before the end of the year; hopefully a lot more of my old stories too. At the moment going to try and focus on the shorter one-shots so I can break this logjam I've been in.

If I could only stop 'fixing' my own stories ;-)
